Young Oil, Inc.
A release of approximately 15,000 gallons of gasoline was reported for the site based on inventory records. Emergency response and investigative activities were conducted at the site in June 2015. Due to the volume of liquid-phase hydrocarbon, and the proximity of a creek to the site, CDG recommended a Multi-phase Vacuum Extraction (MPVE) system be installed at the site. The MPVE system was delivered to the site on August 5, 2015. The system installation activities began in August 2015 and the system was started the following month. The system is connected to a network of seven recovery wells. Vapor emissions are treated by activated carbon, and treated groundwater is discharged to the City of Auburn sanitary sewer system.
