Columbiana City-Wide Drainage Study

Due to a significantly undersized drainage network, the City of Columbiana faced serious flooding risks across many residential, commercial, and industrial districts. CDG provided professional services to develop plans to increase capacity, decrease flood risks, and replace aging pipes, culverts, and additional elements to the City’s network. The project team performed a city-wide hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of the existing drainage network, encompassing nearly 4,000 acres, and provided GIS mapping of the major drainage infrastructure. Solutions included regional detention facilities, open channel improvements, and culvert replacements.
