27 Feb CDG Project Manager Receives ASCE Huntsville (AL) Branch Engineer of the Year
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recently presented their Engineer of the Year awards as part of Engineers’ Week. This award is designed to celebrate outstanding civil engineers throughout the state of Alabama.
Brandon Bounds, PE, a member of CDG, Inc.’s geotechnical practice, was the recipient of the 2023 ASCE Huntsville (AL) Branch Civil Engineer of the Year Award. Brandon has been a member of ASCE for nearly five years where he has served as an officer for the Huntsville Branch for four terms, two of which he served as president.
“This award is certainly a big honor for me, and I’m just thankful to have had the opportunity to serve the ASCE Huntsville Branch and represent CDG in my local engineering community. I learned a lot about leadership in my time as an officer with ASCE. As I reflect on this season, I think I most enjoyed the opportunities to get to know a wide variety of professionals, create meaningful occasions for others to network, and provide ways for folks to continue their learning through lunch-and-learn type meetings.”
Brandon Bounds is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Alabama. Brandon has been a geotechnical engineer with CDG for five years and currently serves as a project manager. Conception through project completion, he provides geotechnical and material recommendations for infrastructure projects that result in positive, lasting impressions on communities.
CDG is thankful for Brandon’s dedication and contributions to the engineering industry.
