125,000-Gallon Bolted Steel Water Tank
Attalla Water Works Board
The Atalla Water Works Board had a pre-existing 500,000-gallon welded steel water tank in the Shahan area of Etowah County that need to be cleaned and repainted but could not take it out of service to make necessary repairs. CDG recommended Attalla construct a bolted steel tank adjacent to the existing tank with the same overflow elevation. Once constructed, the new 125,000-gallon tank would have the ability to serve customers while the original tank was taken out of service for maintenance. While the new tank can appropriately serve the needs of Attalla’s customers while maintaining satisfactory water quality.
