The City of Dothan requested CDG to assist with submitting an application for funding through ALDOT’s Transportation Alternative Set-Aside Program (TAP) for pedestrian sidewalk improvements east of downtown Dothan along Main Street. This funding was used to increase pedestrian safety within the City’s existing transportation infrastructure. The project scope included the construction of 4,800 linear feet of concrete sidewalks along East Main Street from Plant Street to the Emergency Room entrance of Southeast Health Medical Center. Additionally, this project addressed much needed pedestrian crossing improvements at Plan Street, Palm Jean Street, Columbia Highway, and Haven Drive. The City also selected CDG to provide professional engineering design services for the project, including project management, topographical services, environmental services, construction plans, letting assistance, and construction engineering and inspection.
